What happens when the evidence is weak?

Every Athena diagnosis carries an Aegis evidence score. Weak grounding is shown, not hidden: you still see the stack, impact, and the score. Below 0.70 the suggested patch is withheld so a guess is never dressed up as a fix.

Does LAWDE Shield store my source code?

Accepted Answer

No. Secrets are scrubbed before we keep the event. Beacon may fetch a short-lived, read-only GitHub window for one diagnosis, then discard it. There is no durable source-code copy in the product.

Will sending logs to your API slow down my live application?

Accepted Answer

No. Secrets are scrubbed in under 50ms — that is our design target for the built-in privacy scrub on the hot path. Full persistence and AI clustering happen asynchronously to guarantee zero data loss. Your application thread never waits on our AI.

Can you auto-fix the code in my IDE like Cursor or Claude?

Not yet directly. Cursor, Claude, and GPT have not opened public write APIs for external background tools. Today LAWDE Shield gives you a 1-click agentic JSON copy payload. The moment they open auto-patch APIs, we will launch an "Auto-Dispatch to IDE" toggle.

What if my logs contain custom internal PII, like patient IDs or SSNs?

Accepted Answer

Built-in masking strips common secrets and personal data before we keep the event. For domain IDs (patient numbers, staff codes), add custom scrubbers in Settings (Business+) or mask them in your app before you send.

Question 8

What happens if a bug triggers 10,000 errors in one second? Will I get billed for it?

Accepted Answer

No. You are billed per unique issue, not per raw log line. Ten thousand identical crashes stay one incident on your board — one event to diagnose.

Can I send webhooks to other tools besides Cursor?

Accepted Answer

Yes! LAWDE Shield broadcasts structured JSON webhooks to Slack, Discord, Jira, PagerDuty, or any custom internal HTTP endpoint your team relies on for incident triage.

What happens if the error occurs in a file listed in .lawdeignore?

Accepted Answer

Diagnosis and source fetch stop immediately. You see “Error caught in Restricted Zone.” We keep only the scrubbed log — nothing from that path is sent to AI.

Does it only work for Claude or Cursor?

Accepted Answer

No — it works for all ADEs, agentic CLI tools, and IDEs (including Cursor, Claude, GPT, Windsurf, and more). Just copy and paste the patch prompt payload to your targeted environment.

Do I need separate SDKs for Next.js server and client?

Accepted Answer

No. One package: @lawdeshield/agent. NPM conditional exports auto-route Node server crashes (uncaughtException, RSC) and browser client crashes (window.onerror, React boundaries). Non-JS stack uses the Universal HTTP API.

What happens if your rate limiter is down?

We still accept your crashes. We would rather keep production evidence than drop it. Identical bursts stay one issue on your board.

Do you run AI on every crash in a storm?

No. Repeats count up on the same issue. Look-alikes join via semantic clustering. You diagnose the root cause once — you are not billed per raw event.
